Autodesk Announces Major Updates to Flame Family at IBC 2016

New ‘Maya inspired’ three dimensional scene navigation features, workflow enhancements for third-party three dimensional 3d animator tools, enhanced EXR handling, render quality enhancements, better color management, and batch compositing enhancements incorporated in Flame 2017 family extension 1 release available October 13.

AMSTERDAM — At IBC 2016, Autodesk introduced the Flame 2017 family extension 1 release for professional three dimensional visual effects, compositing and finishing.

The update includes new three dimensional scene navigation features and enhancements, collaborative workflow enhancements for dealing with Autodesk and third-party three dimensional animation tools, a different way of dealing with multichannel (EXR) render passes, render quality enhancements, better color management and batch compositing enhancements together with a new compass tool.
